been a while

I actually forgot about my blog. Haven't had a following and I got caught up with everything else in life. I've been creating a lot the past few days-and buying supplies. I guess it goes in spurts because last week I barely created. Brought a necklace into a local shop for display. It is very exciting and overwhelming trying to pick just the right piece to show. Hope it brings some sales!!

I took a few pieces to my local consignment shop. I've been hesitant to do it because she would have to mark them up so high just so I can make a profit on them. She did agree to put my card out which I was not expecting because she told me in the past she doesn't do that. She said she also keeps note if people ask about my work and if she could give out my number. So I dropped off a few cheaper summery things to get my name out there. We'll see how it goes.

Just got back from Micheal's. Spent my typical $35 per visit. As always I spread everything out when I get home and decide what I am going to bring back. lol

Well today is my Friday so I am looking forward to staying up late tonight and beading. I haven't created anything in days because I had a show this weekend that didn't go well. So needless to say I have been bummed. I am new at these shows so I think I need to pick an choose wisely. Location is definitely an issue. Seems as though I can't compete with candles, Avon , and Tastefully Simple. I need a show that only has handcrafted goods. Well live and learn...maybe next time.
